Abstract:

Objective

To analyze the effect of applying AIDET communication mode on the improvement of stress state in preoperative visits of patients with inguinal hernia repair.

Methods

A total of 120 patients with inguinal hernia repaired in Tianchang city hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September2018 to August 2019 were divided into control group (n=60, routine preoperative visit) and experimental group (n=60, routine preoperative visits combined with the AIDET communication model) were used to compare stress responses such as HAMA scores (anxiety scores), blood pressure (BP), and heart rate between the two groups, and to compare the satisfaction of the two groups of patients with the operating room care.

Results

The HAMA score, BP, and heart rate of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group 30 minutes before the operation (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of care in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application of AIDET communication mode during preoperative visits to inguinal hernia repair can obviously reduce the stress state of patients and maintain a good nurse-patient relationship. It has positive significance for improving the treatment prognosis of patients.
