Abstract:

Objective

To explore the effect of encouraging nursing combined with empathic nursing on improving physiological stress response and psychological stress response in patients with inguinal hernia surgery.

Methods

100 cases of inguinal hernia surgery patients in Tianchang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from November 2019 to December 2020 were selected as subjects, the control group and the observation group were divided according to the principle of random grouping, 50 cases in each group. The control group received routine operating room nursing measures, while the observation group received encouraging nursing and empathic nursing on the basis of routine nursing. The anxiety (S-CAI) score, pulse oxygen saturation (SPO2) level, mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR) and nursing satisfaction rate of the two groups were compared.

Results

The S-CAI score was similar between the control and observation group, without statistical significance [(68.55±10.15) points vs (68.32±10.25) points, P>0.05]. After receiving different intervention, the S-CAI scores decreased in the two groups. Compared with the control group, the S-CAI score of the observation group at the beginning of anesthesia decreased more significantly [(45.18±7.88) points vs (55.32±8.25) points, P<0.05]; the MAP, HR and other physiological parameters of the observation group at the beginning of anesthesia were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant adverse effect on SPO2 (P>0.05); the nursing satisfaction rates of the observation group and the control group were 96.00% and 84.00%, respectively; compared with the control group, the nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group was significantly higher (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application of encouraging nursing and empathy nursing intervention in the operation room nursing of patients with inguinal hernia can significantly improve the anxiety response, improve the physiological stress reaction during the operation, improve the satisfaction rate of operation room nursing, and plays a positive role in ensuring the overall surgical treatment effect of patients.
