Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the clinical effect of tension-free hernia repair in patients with giant incisional hernia.

Methods

A total of 60 patients with giant incisional hernia admitted to Chifeng Hospital from January 2018 to March 2019 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group with 30 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with traditional open hernia repair, and patients in the observation group were treated with tension-free hernia repair. The complication rate and satisfaction rate of the two groups of patients after treatment were compared, and the data of each operation index of the two groups of patients were analyzed.

Results

The incidence of complications in the control group (26.67%) was significantly higher than that in the observation group (3.33%) (P<0.05). The hospitalization time, intraoperative blood loss, and operation time of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group (P<0.05). The total effective rate (96.67%) of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (70.00%) (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The clinical effect of tension-free hernia repair for patients with giant incisional hernia is definite, and the incidence of complications is significantly reduced. It is worthy of promotion.
