Abstract:

Abdominal incisional hernia is a common complication after abdominal surgery, and surgery is the only effective treatment. The mainstream repair methods of abdominal incisional hernia include the laparoscopic intraperitoneal onlay mesh (IPOM) and retromuscular prefascial mesh implantation (Sublay) repair. There are many disputes about the efficacy of IPOM and Sublay repair (open and totally endoscopic sublay repair) in the treatment of abdominal incisional hernia. This study will review the literature review, deeply explore and compare the efficacy and safety of IPOM and Sublay in the treatment of abdominal incisional hernia.

Key words: Abdominal incisional hernia, Intraperitoneal onlay mesh(IPOM), Retromuscular prefascial patch implantation(Sublay)
