Clinical research progress of glue in inguinal hernia

Abstract

Abstract:

Medicine needs not only accurate diagnosis and treatment, but also accurate healing. The development trend for inguinal hernia is to adopt some new techniques, technologies and materials in tension-free hernia repair to achieve precision medicine. Glue therapeutics is one of the ten new advances in the 21^st century. With the rapid development of surgical technology and biomedical materials, glue is gradually being used in inguinal hernia repair. It belongs to synthetic biomedical engineering materials, which can not only be used for adhesive and hemostasis of wounds, but also replace sutures to fix mesh. It has significance in reducing recurrence and pain after inguinal hernia repair.
