Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application value of tension free repair in acute abdomen caused by incarcerated hernia.

Methods

49 cases of inguinal incarcerated hernia patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University were selected and divided into study group (26) and control group (23) according to the different treatment methods. Control group was treated with traditional herniorrhaphy, and study group was treated with tension free repair. All patients were followed up for 12 months. The remission of acute abdomen and the operation indexes of 2 groups were compared. The complications of 2 groups after operation were analyzed and the main points of operation were summarized.

Results

The acute abdomen such as abdominal pain, abdominal mass, intestinal obstruction of 2 groups significantly alleviated, and the total effective rates of 2 groups had no significant difference (P>0.05); Compared with control group, the amount of bleeding in study group decreased, the time of operation and the time of postoperative hospitalization shortened, and the frequency of postoperative analgesic drugs decreased (P<0.05); the postoperative complications incidence of study group was significantly lower than control group (P<0.05), there was no significant difference in recurrence rate between 2 groups (P>0.05).

Conclusion

Tension free repair and traditional hernia repair can effectively relieve acute abdomen caused by incarcerated hernia, but the former can effectively reduce postoperative complications and is beneficial to the prognosis.
