Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application value of fast track recovery care in the perioperative period of Lichtenstein surgery for elderly patients with inguinal hernia.

Methods

Fifty cases of elderly patients admitted to Linquan County People's Hospital for Lichtenstein surgery between February 2018 and December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the nursing methods, were divided into an observation group and a control group, with 25 cases in each group. The observation group received rapid rehabilitation care. The control group received conventional care. The indicators of postoperative recovery and postoperative nursing satisfaction between the two groups were compared.

Results

The indicators about postoperative recovery, including the recovery time of bowel sounds, postoperative anal venting time, postoperative bed activity time, and postoperative hospitalization time, in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group (P<0.05). In terms of postoperative nursing satisfaction, the nursing satisfaction of patients in the observation group was 100.00%, which was significantly higher than 84.00% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).

Conclusion

Rapid rehabilitation nursing plays a significant role in the perioperative nursing of elderly patients with inguinal hernia, which can promote the early postoperative intestinal function recovery of patients, shorten the length of hospital stay, and improve patients' satisfaction with nursing work.
