Abstract:
Objective To study the application effect of the concept of fast track surgery in the nursing of day surgery tension-free repair of inguinal hernia.
Methods Two-hundred and sixty patients with inguinal hernia who underwent day operation in the Ninth People's Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine from January 2017 to February 2019 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into control group (n=130) and observation group (n=130) by random number table. Patients in the control group received routine nursing, while patients in the observation group received intervention based on the concept of rapid rehabilitation surgery. The recovery indexes such as the time of first anal exhaust, the time of first eating, the time of first getting out of bed, and the occurrence of postoperative complications such as scrotal effusion edema, incision foreign body sensation, abdominal distension and VTE were compared between the two groups.
Results The recovery indexes and complication rates of patients in observation group were shorter and lower than those in control group in different degrees, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion Applying the concept of fast track surgery to the nursing process of patients undergoing day surgery tension-free repair of inguinal hernia can effectively reduce the occurrence of postoperative stress reaction, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, shorten the length of hospital stay, alleviate the pain of patients, and obviously promote the early recovery of patients, and it is worthy of clinical popularization and application.
