Abstract:

Objective

To explore the efficacy of humanistic medicine in the treatment of patients with uterine prolapse and intestinal hernia (posterior vaginal wall bulging) by total vaginal hysterectomy combined with posterior vaginal wall Repair.

Methods

A total of 120 patients with uterine prolapse complicated by intestinal hernia admitted to Tianchang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2017 to August 2019 were selected as study subjects. All the included patients were treated with total vaginal hysterectomy combined with vaginal wall repair. The patients were divided into two equal groups using the random number table method, named the control group (n=60, receiving routine care) and the observation group (n=60, receiving humanistic medicine care). Chinese version of perceived stress scale (CPSS), Self-rating depression scale (SDS), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), mental resilience scale (RS-14), satisfaction with nursing services, cortisol (Cor), heart rate, mean arterial pressure were compared between the two groups.

Results

Before nursing, there was no significant difference in CPSS, SDS, SAS, RS-14 ratings between the two groups (P>0.05). After 7 days of nursing, CPSS, SDS, SAS and RS-14 scores of the two groups were all lower than those before nursing, and the observation group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). The satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (96.67% vs. 80.00%, χ2=4.043, P=0.044). At the end of operation, Cor, heart rate and mean arterial pressure in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application humanistic medicine in the treatment of patients with uterine prolapse and intestinal hernia can improve their bad mood, relieve psychological pressure, reduce the stress response of surgery, and improve the satisfaction of patients with nursing.
