Abstract:

Objective

To explore the effect of music on demand through headphones on improving the negative psychology of inguinal hernia repair patients in operating room.

Methods

From January 2018 to December 2018, 60 cases of inguinal hernia repair hospitalized in Tianchang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were collected. There were 57 males and 3 females. The age range was 33-87 years old, and the average age was (64.6±11.5) years. According to the random number table method, they were randomly divided into control group and experimental group with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional operating room nursing mode, while the experimental group was given conventional operating room nursing mode combined with earphone music on demand. The changes of anxiety, intraoperative comfort and nursing satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups. Measurement data and counting data are expressed by mean standard±deviation and rate (%), respectively, and comparative analysis is made by t test and chi-square test.

Results

Compared with the control group, the anxiety of the experimental group during operation and 1 d after operation was significantly lower, and the difference was statistically significant (F=4.741; 22.271, P<0.05). In terms of comfort level comparison, the environmental score, social and cultural score, psychological and spiritual score, physiological score and total comfort score of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (t=6.951; 7.059; 4.770; 4.538; 9.1910, P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of operating room service attitude in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference (χ2=4.043, P<0.05).

Conclusion

The intervention of earphone music on demand in inguinal hernia repair during operation can reduce the anxiety of patients, improve the comfort level and obtain ideal operation effect. It is recommended to popularize and apply it.
