Abstract:

Objective

To explorethe the influence of whole-course nursing on mental state and quality of life of patients undergoing inguinal hernia repair.

Methods

Sixty-four cases of patients undergoing inguinal hernia repair admitted to our hospital from June 2015 to June 2017 were treated with inguinal hernia repair, and were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, 32 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given whole-course nursing. The mental state and quality of life of the two groups were compared before and after intervention.

Results

After intervention, SAS score and SDS score in both groups decreased, but the degree of decline in observation group was more higher than that in control group, which has statistical difference (P<0.05). After intervention at the first follow-up, the quality of life of control group was increased from 55.7±3.7 points to 82.6±2.9 points, while that of observation group was increased from 56.5±3.8 points to 95.7±5.1 points. There were statistically significant differences between the two groups (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application of whole-course nursing in patients with inguinal hernia repair can significantly improve the psychological state of patients and improve the quality of life, which is worth learning from.
