Abstract:
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of tension-free mesh repair in patients with inguinal hernia.
Methods From November 2016 to November 2017, the clinical data of 40 patients with inguinal hernia in Xinjiang Shanshan County People's Hospital were selected. The patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 20 patients in each group. 20 patients in the treatment group were treated with tension-free mesh repair, while patients in the control group was treated with open surgery. The clinical effects of the two group were observed.
Results The total effective rate was 95% in the treatment group, which was higher than that in the control group (65%). The difference was statistically significant (χ2=5.625, P=0.018). The postoperative complication rate was 5% in the treatment group, which was lower than that in the control group (30%), the difference was statistically significant (χ2=3.920, P=0.048).
Conclusion Compared with open surgery, the tension-free hernia repair can improve the efficiency of treatment, with less complications and better application effect.
