Abstract:

Objective

To explore the postoperative nursing experience of patients with incarcerated inguinal hernia undergoing emergency tension-free hernia repair.

Methods

84 patients with incarcerated inguinal hernia admitted to Wanning People's Hospital from June 2017 to June 2018 were selected, and they were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table methods, with 42 cases in each group. All patients underwent tension-free hernia repair. The observation group was given comprehensive nursing from the aspects of patients' psychology, pain, off-bed activities, diet, complications and discharge guidance, and the control group received routine nursing. The two groups were followed up for 1 year. The clinical indicators of the two groups were compared, the SAS, SDS and VAS scores of the two groups at hospital admission and discharge were compared, and the postoperative complications occurrence rate of the two groups were counted.

Results

The time of eating, off-bed activities and hospitalization in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). Compared with hospital admission, the SAS, SDS and VAS scores of the two groups significantly decreased at hospital discharge, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05). The complication rate of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05), there was no significant difference in recurrence rate between the two groups (P>0.05).

Conclusion

The targeted nursing for patients with incarcerated inguinal hernia after emergency tension-free repair can shorten the hospitalization time, reduce postoperative anxiety and depression, pain, complication incidence rate, and promote the recovery of patients, which has good clinical application value.
