Repair and reconstruction of complex abdominal wall defect after extended tumor resection

Abstract:

How to repair and reconstruct complex abdominal wall defects after extended resection of malignant or borderline tumors is a difficult problem in hernia and abdominal wall surgery. As a result, it is critical to thoroughly understand the patient's medical history prior to surgery, to conduct a multidisciplinary team diagnosis and treatment evaluation, to focus on imaging examination based on the zoning of abdominal wall defects, to formulate and plan individualized repair and reconstruction schemes based on the specific situation of patients, to focus on damage control, and to strengthen the prevention and treatment of complications after surgery, so as to achieve the best treatment effect.
