Application of comprehensive nursing in perioperative nursing of children with inguinal hernia

Abstract:

Objective

To inbestigate the application effect of comprehensive nursing in perioperative nursing of children with inguinal hernia.

Methods

A total of 80 children with inguinal hernia who received surgical treatment between January 2019 and August 2020 in Qingdao Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University were selected as the research subjects, and the children were divided into a routine group and a comprehensive group using the numerical random method. There were 40 patients in each group. Children in the routine group were intervened by conventional nursing mode, while those in the comprehensive group were intervened by comprehensive nursing mode. The postoperative ambulation, hospital stay, pain, adverse reactions and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.

Results

The postoperative ambulation and hospital stay in the comprehensive group were significantly lower than those in the conventional group (P<0.05); the postoperative pain in the comprehensive group was significantly lower than that in the conventional group (P<0.05); the incidence of adverse reactions in the comprehensive group was significantly lower than the routine group (P<0.05); nursing satisfaction in the comprehensive group was significantly better than that in the routine group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application effect of comprehensive nursing intervention in the perioperative nursing of children with inguinal hernia is significant. It can effectively reduce the time of leaving the bed and hospitalization of children with inguinal hernia, reduce postoperative pain and adverse reactions, and enhance nursing satisfaction.
