Abstract:

Objective

To explore the intervention effect of rapid rehabilitation nursing after surgery in tension-free inguinal hernia repair.

Methods

A retrospective analysis of 300 inguinal hernia patients who underwent tension-free inguinal hernia repair at the Second Hospital of Qinhuangdao City from January 2018 to December 2020, with 150 patients in each group. The control group received routine perioperative nursing intervention, and the observation group received rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing. The operation status, postoperative recovery status, pain degree of 24 and 48 hours after surgery, postoperative complications and nursing intervention satisfaction were observed.

Results

There was no statistically significant difference in the operation time and blood loss between the two groups of patients (all P>0.05). The amount of fluid infusion during the operation in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). The observation group's time to get out of bed, recovery time of intestinal function, time to first meal, recovery time of bowel sounds, the visual analogue scale score at 24 and 48 h after surgery, and the incidence of postoperative complications were all less than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The satisfaction degree distribution of nursing intervention in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The concept of perioperative rapid rehabilitation surgical nursing can effectively promote the improvement of postoperative recovery indicators, reduce the risk of postoperative complications and the degree of pain for inguinal hernia repair procedure, and improve patients' satisfaction with nursing intervention.
