Abstract:
Objective To investigate the application and accuracy of high frequency ultrasound in the clinical diagnosis of indirect inguinal hernia.
Methods From January 2017 to January 2020, 80 patients with suspected inguinal hernia admitted to the Fifth People's Hospital of Wuhu City were selected as the research objects. The selected persons all received traditional surgical examinations and high-frequency ultrasound tests. The positive rate, misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis rates, accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of the two tests were compared and analyzed.
Results Compared with surgical examination, the positive rate of high-frequency ultrasound diagnosis was relatively high (P<0.05); compared with surgical examination, the missed diagnosis rate of high-frequency ultrasound examination was lower and the accuracy was higher (P<0.05); compared with surgical examination, the sensitivity and specificity of high-frequency ultrasonography were high (P<0.05).
Conclusion When high-frequency ultrasound is used to diagnose patients with indirect inguinal hernia, the accuracy and sensitivity of the diagnosis are relatively high, and the test has the characteristics of simple, fast and clear imaging, and has strong repeatability. It can be tolerated by the elderly and children. It is helpful for preoperative identification and diagnosis of patients with indirect inguinal hernia. And it has high clinical application value.
