Abstract:

Magnetic surgery is a novel surgical technology system. According to different clinical applications and principles, it can be divided into the following five categories: magnetic compression technique, magnetic navigation technique, magnetic anchoring technique, magnetic levitation technique and magnetic tracer technique. With its unique advantages, many new surgical diagnosis and treatment methods were innovated under the concept of magnetic surgery technology, and some traditional surgical diagnosis and treatment methods were also optimized. At present, the magnetic surgery technique has been applied in the fields of lumen reconstruction, tissue traction exposure and disease tracking and has shown a good application prospect. In hernia and abdominal wall surgery, the technology of magnetic surgery also has the potential to optimize some surgical operations. For example, magnetic navigation can help the hernia patch reach the target site and assist in fixation in endoscopic hernia repair, and the endoscopic surgery can be more minimally invasive with magnetic anchoring technique. In addition, the dissociation of abdominal tissue is more convenient with magnetic traction technique, and magnetic anastomosis technique may play a role in abdominal infection control and abdominal volume reduction surgery.
