Abstract:

Retroperitoneal tumors, mainly soft tissue sarcomas, are a rare type of malignant tumors derived from connective tissue, with high heterogeneity and complex pathological types. Comprehensive treatment is recommended at regional sarcoma centers with multidisciplinary team teams. A complete surgical resection with negative margin for local tumors is a standard, potentially radical treatment for patients with retroperitoneal sarcoma (RPS). It can be said that surgical treatment is the basis for comprehensive treatment of RPS. In recent years, some progress has been made in the surgical treatment of retroperitoneal tumors, while there are some controversies. Surgical treatment has matured in progress and controversy.
