Abstract:
Objective To investigate the postoperative application effect of refined nursing combined with hernia belt in patients with hepatopathy-related thrombocytopenia (HRT) complicated by inguinal hernias.
Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 47 patients with HRT complicated by inguinal hernia who underwent open tension-free hernioplasty in the Second People's Hospital of Fuyang from January 2023 to December 2024. According to the postoperative nursing regimen, the patients were divided into 2 groups. In the observation group (15 cases), a hernia belt was worn postoperatively, combined with refined nursing. In the control group (32 cases), the routine general nursing mode for inguinal hernia in the department of general surgery was adopted after surgery. The preoperative baseline data, postoperative complications (such as subcutaneous ecchymosis, scrotal hematoma/edema, and incision infection), length of hospital stay were compared between the 2 groups.
Results There were no statistically significant differences between the 2 groups in age, gender, etiology of liver disease, preoperative platelet count, coagulation function, and albumin level (P>0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the routine nursing group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). All patients were discharged safely, and no recurrence occurred within 1 year after surgery.
Conclusion For patients with HRT complicated by inguinal hernia undergoing surgical treatment, the use of refined nursing combined with surgical-site negative pressure drainage and compression by wearing a hernia belt can effectively reduce complications.
