Abstract:

Objective

To analyze the application effect of responsibility nursing intervention in Lichtenstein operation of inguinal hernia.

Methods

Data of 120 patients with inguinal hernia admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Wanxi Health Vocational College from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected for prospective study. Patients were divided into the control group (60 cases) and the observation group (60 cases) according to random number table method. The control group received traditional nursing during perioperative period, while the observation group received responsibility nursing intervention. Both groups received intervention until discharge. The operation conditions and postoperative recovery indexes of the two groups were observed. The stress indexes at the time of entering the room and before anesthesia, comfort level and psychological state before nursing and at discharge, nursing satisfaction at discharge, and incidence of complications during hospitalization were compared between the two groups.

Results

The duration of operation, anesthesia recovery, consciousness recovery and hospitalization time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). Before anesthesia, the blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) in the two groups was lower than that at the time of entering the room, and was higher in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). Heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) in the two groups were higher before anesthesia than those in the room, while those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). At discharge, the scores of Kolcaba Comfort Scale in both groups were higher than those before nursing, and those in observation group were higher than those in control group. The scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) in the two groups were lower than those before nursing, while those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). At discharge, the nursing satisfaction rate of the observation group was 95.00%, which was higher than that of the control group (83.33%, P<0.05). During hospitalization, the incidence of complications in the observation group was 3.33%, which was lower than that in the control group (13.33%, P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application effect of responsibility nursing intervention in Lichtenstein operation of inguinal hernia is remarkable, which can improve patients' stress response, comfort level and psychological state, reduce the incidence of complications, promote postoperative recovery, and improve patients' nursing satisfaction.
