Abstract:

Objective

To explore the effect of an evidence-based clinical nursing pathway on the rehabilitation effect and satisfaction of elderly patients with inguinal hernia.

Methods

From January 2018 to January 2021, the elderly hernia patients collected and treated in Xinjiang People's Hospital were selected as the target cases of this study. The selected subjects were randomly divided into control and experimental groups, a total of 120 cases, 60 in each group. The control group was given routine nursing methods, and the study group was given evidence-based nursing methods. The satisfaction of patients in the two groups of evidence-based nursing was compared, the changes in patients' length of stay were observed, the occurrence of adverse reactions of patients in the two groups was compared, the nursing quality of patients in the two groups was analyzed, and the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) scores of patients in the two groups were compared before and after nursing.

Results

(1) The satisfaction of case nursing in the study group was 93.34%, obviously higher than that in the control group (73.34%; P<0.05). (2) The time of getting out of bed, eating food and staying in hospital were significantly shorter in the study group than in the control group (P<0.05). (3) The adverse reaction rate of the study subjects in the control group was 16.67%, which was obviously greater than the target adverse reaction rate of the study group, which was 5%, (P<0.05). (4) The performance of the study group's goal of psychological dredging and prevention of complications and medication orders was better than that of the control group's goal (P<0.05); (5) Before nursing, there were no significant changes in SAS and SDS scores between the study group and the control group (P>0.05); After nursing, SAS and SDS scores of patients in the study group and the control group were significantly lower than before nursing, and the study group was significantly lower than the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

An evidence-based clinical nursing pathway has better rehabilitation effects for elderly patients with inguinal hernia and higher patient satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
