Abstract:
Objective To compare the efficacy of laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernia repair with traditional inguinal hernia repair and hernia ring filling tension-free hernia repair in adult inguinal hernia.
Methods A total of 150 patients with inguinal hernia admitted from April 2016 to April 2020 were randomly divided into three groups, with 50 patients in each group. Group A received traditional inguinal hernia repair, group B received hernia ring filling for tension-free hernia repair, and group C received laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernia repair. The total clinical response rate, operation time, discharge time, intraoperative blood loss, visual analogue scale (VAS) score at 24 hours, one week, and one month after surgery, recurrence rate, and complications of patients in the three groups were compared.
Results Patients in group B and group C were superior to group A in terms of total clinical response rate, operation time, discharge time, intraoperative blood loss, VAS score at 24 hours, one week, and one month after surgery, recurrence rate, and complications, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Compared with group C, the VAS score of group C was superior to that of group B in operation time, hospital stay, 24 h after surgery, one week after surgery, and one month after surgery, with statistical significance (P<0.05).
Conclusion Three kinds of operation methods are found, before laparoscopic abdominal peritoneal hernia repair, which was hernia ring filling type without tension hernia repair with good clinical effect, recovers quickly, reduces the length of hospital stay, alleviates postoperative pain, reduces the recurrence rate and risk of complications, and reduces the pain of the patients. In terms of postoperative pain, postoperative recovery, and operation time, laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernia repair is superior.
