Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of quantitative evaluation strategy in perioperative nursing of elderly patients with inguinal hernia.
Methods From January 2018 to January 2019, 60 cases of elderly patients with inguinal hernia surgery in Beijing Friendship Hospital were selected as the research object.According to random number table method, they were divided into observation group (n=30) and control group (n=30). The control group onlyimplementats conventional perioperative nursing intervention, while the observation group was added with quantitative assessment strategies for intervention. The patients' indicators related to the operation (operation time, exhaust time, postoperative time of food intake and ambulant time), self-care ability (self-care skill, self-care responsibility, self-concept and self-care knowledge) and quality of life (physiological function, physiological function, body pain, general health, vitality, social function, emotional function and mental health) were objectively evaluated and compared between the two groups.
Results After comparison, there was no statistically significant difference in operation time between the two groups (P>0.05), but there were statistically significant differences between the observation group and the control group in operation related indicators such as exhaust time, postoperative feeding time and the first ambulant time (P<0.05). The scores of self-care ability, such as self-care skill, self-care responsibility, self-concept and self-care knowledge were significantly different between the observation group and the control group (P<0.05). In addition, after one-year follow-up, postoperative physiological function, physiological function, body pain, overall health, vitality, social function, emotional function and mental health scores in observation group were significantly different (P<0.05).
Conclusion Quantitative evaluation strategy intervention can promote the cultivation of correct self-care ability in elderly patients undergoing inguinal hernia surgery, and improve the postoperative recovery and quality of life of the patients, and it is worthy of promotion.
