Abstract:

Objective

To discuss the clinical application value and intervention effect of Roy adaptation nursing model in the treatment of laparoscopic operation for children with inguinal hernia.

Methods

From February 2017 to February 2018, 60 cases of children with inguinal hernia treated in Wuhan University Central South hospital were divided into control group and experimental group according to random number table. And the control group were treated by conventional measures of care of laparoscopic hernia surgery, while the experimental group were applicated by Roy adaptation nursing model in the implementation of routine nursing. In the two groups, the operative time, the activity time of getting out of bed, the hospitalization time, nursing satisfaction of family members, and the occurrence of complications were compared and observed.

Results

The operative time, the activity time of getting out of bed and the hospitalization time in the experimental group were (40.5±3.2) minutes, (2.1±0.4) days and (5.1±1.6) days, respectively, were lower than those in the control group, (45.1±5.7) minutes, (5.4±1.3) days and (8.4±1.5) days, respectively, and the difference were significant (P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of family members in the experimental group was 96.67%, which was significantly higher than that of 86.7% in the control group (P<0.05). In the experimental group, the numbers of wound infection, poor healing, pain and urinary retention were less than those in the control group, and the total incidence rate of 6.67% was significantly less than that of 16.7% in the control group (P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application of Roy adaptation nursing mode in children with inguinal hernia received laparoscopic surgery can significantly speed up the rehabilitation of children, improve the therapeutic effect, and can greatly reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, which has been recognized by the majority of the children and their families, so it is worth further promoting and using.
