Abstract:
Objective To analysis the curative effect of different pediatric hernia surgery methods.
Methods The clinical data of 76 children with inguinal hernia admitted to Midong Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Hospital from January 2014 to November 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the operation method, the patients were divided into the laparoscopic group (observation group) and open group (control group) with 38 cases in each. The operation details of the two groups were observed and the therapeutic effects, adverse reactions and recurrence were compared.
Results The operation time [(14.6+3.6) minutes vs (24.7+5.8) minutes], intraoperative blood loss [(1.9+0.9) ml vs (5.2+1.5) ml] and activity recovery time [(10.8+3.6) hours vs (21.9+5.2) hours] were lower than those in the control group. Compared with control group, the effective rate of treatment (97.6% vs 81.6%) in the observation group was higher, while the incidence of complications (2.6% vs 10.5%) and recurrence rate (0 vs 7.9%) were lower (P<0.05).
Conclusion The laparoscopic surgery for pediatric hernia is safe and worthy of clinical promotion.
