Abstract:

This article reports a case of an elderly male patient admitted due to manifestations of intestinal obstruction. Intraoperatively, it was found that the ileum herniated through the foramen of Winslow with incarceration and necrosis, and intestinal resection and anastomosis were performed. Postoperatively, the patient developed a pulmonary infection and was discharged voluntarily due to financial reasons. This case suggests that early identification of Winslow hernia and timely surgical exploration are the keys to improving prognosis.
