Abstract:

Hernia is a common complication after enterostomy. The incidence rate is about 50%. Parastomal hernia often occurs in the first two years after stoma operation, and the incidence rate increases over time. Parastomal hernia seriously affects the quality of life of patients, social and psychological problems, consumes medical resources and seriously endangers life. There are many surgical methods for parastomal hernia. However, the postoperative recurrence rate of parastomal hernia is still high, and the repair method of parastomal hernia is still being improved. At present, the effects of prophylactic implantation of patch at the same time of stoma are not very satisfactory. Hernia surgeons in many countries worldwide are still exploring to improve the surgical method of parastomal hernia. The formation mechanism and risk factors of parastomal hernia are of great significance for the operation of parastomal hernia. This paper reviews and summarizes the risk factors of parastomal hernia, the pathophysiological basis of parastomal hernia, various operation methods of parastomal hernia, and analyzes the principle and recurrence causes of various operation methods, in order to provide new ideas for further prevention of parastomal hernia and improvement of parastomal hernia operation.
