Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application value of Internet-based community medical care combined with continuous care model in the rehabilitation of elderly incarcerated inguinal hernia after emergency laparoscopic surgery.

Methods

A total of 96 elderly patients with incarcerated inguinal hernia admitted in Shangdong provincial third hospital from February 2018 to February 2020 were selected as the research object, and the patients were divided into a control group (n=48, routine follow-up care) and an experimental group (n=48, based on the Internet community medical care combined with continuous care model) by random number table method, comparing the activities of daily living, postoperative rehabilitation satisfaction, and postoperative complications of the two groups.

Results

(1) On the day of discharge and 1 month, 3 months and 6 months after discharge, the daily activity score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (inter-group effect: F=11.320, P<0.001), the daily life activity scores of both groups have a tendency to increase with time (time effect: F=27.650, P<0.001), and group and time have an interactive effect (interactive effect: F=2.719, P=0.044). (2) Postoperative rehabilitation satisfaction of patients in the experimental group was 95.83% higher than that in the control group, 79.17%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). (3) The incidence of postoperative complications in the experimental group was 0 lower than that in the control group, 12.50% (6/48), the difference was statistically significant (χ2=8.718, P=0.026).

Conclusion

Internet-based community medical care combined with continuous care model has high application value in the rehabilitation of elderly incarcerated inguinal hernia after emergency laparoscopic surgery, which can improve patients' daily life activities and postoperative rehabilitation satisfaction, and can effectively reduce postoperative complications. It is worth implementing.
