Abstract:

Objective

To explore the influence of the concept of rapid rehabilitation surgery on the self-efficacy of patients undergoing laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery.

Methods

A total of 86 patients with inguinal hernia who underwent laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery in Shanghai East hospital from April 2016 to April 2018 were selected. The control group was given routine clinical intervention measures, and the study group applied the concept of rapid rehabilitation surgery based on the rehabilitation of the control group. The changes of various clinical indicators, pain degree, self-efficacy score and incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared.

Results

The leaving bed time, exhaust time, first feeding time, defecation time, completely self-care time and postoperative hospital stay of study group were lower than that of control group (P<0.05). The VAS pain score of the study group at 1 h and 6 h after operation were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). Self-efficacy score of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 14.0% in the study group, was lower than that in the control group (46.5%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).

Conclusion

For patients undergoing laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery, the concept of rapid rehabilitation surgery can improve the self-efficacy score, reduce the pain score and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications. Therefore, it is worthy of universal application in clinical surgery.
