Clinical analysis of hybrid technique in the treatment of complicated incisional hernia of abdominal wall

Abstract:

Objective

To analyze the clinical effect of hybrid technique on complicated incisional hernia.

Methods

A retrospective study was conducted on 61 patients of complicated incisional hernia who underwent hybrid technique in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University during July 2015 and July 2018.

Results

61 patients with complicated incisional hernias successfully operated. Among them, there were 46 cases of huge incisional hernia [the length of incision was (14.46±2.22) cm], 9 cases of recurrent incisional hernia, 6 cases of parastomal hernia. The operation time was (140.74±43.24) minutes, the bleeding during operation was (59.02±35.20) ml, the score of postoperative pain was 3.97±0.91, postoperative hospital stay was (7.54±2.88) days. Patients were followed up for 12 to 48 months. There were 2 cases of seroma, 1 case of wound infection, 2 cases of chronic pain, no death and recurrence.

Conclusion

Hybrid technique is a safe and reliable way to treat the complicated incisional hernia. It's worth promoting.
