Treatment of recurrent inguinal hernia

Abstract:

The recurrence of inguinal hernia is the most common complication after surgery, and it is the issue which hernia surgeons must handle with correctly. In this article, the treatment of recurrent inguinal hernia from original papers and meta-analysis and systemic reviews by searching the Pubmed and CNKI database for the last ten years is reviewed. The outcomes of various procedures for recurrent inguinal hernia were summarized, the reasonable surgical procedures were discussed, and the recommendation for different situations were presented accordingly.
