Abstract:

Objective

To explore the clinical effect of the ligation on the false hernia sac with the snare in TEP.

Methods

From August 2014 to August 2017, 65 cases of direct inguinal hernia patients in the First People's Hospital of Xiang Tan were randomly divided into the ligation group (n=33) and the putting-aside group (n=32). Blood loss volume, operative time, length of hospitalization and complications were compared between the two groups.

Results

In the ligation group, the incidence of postoperative seroma was significantly lower than that in the putting-aside group (P<0.01); Blood loss volume, operative time, length of hospitalization of the two groups had no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). There was no recurrence.

Conclusion

Ligation on the false hernia sac with the snare in TEP is a safe approach, can increase the incidence of postoperative seroma.
