Abstract:
Objective To explore the application effect of high quality nursing method in emergency operation of elderly incarcerated inguinal hernia.
Methods 116 elderly patients with inguinal incarcerated hernia in Qionghai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2016 to July 2018 were selected and divided into the experiment group and the control group by random number table method, 58 cases in each group. All patients of the two groups underwent tension-free hernia repair, the control group received routine nursing during the perioperative period, and the experiment group used high-quality nursing mode. The depression/anxiety status before and 2 weeks after discharge, the degree of pain at different time before and after operation, the quality of care during hospitalization and postoperative complications of the two groups were compared.
Results Compared with period before treatment, the scores of SDS and SAS during two weeks after discharge significantly decreased in the two groups, and the scores of experiment group was significantly lower than of the control group (P<0.05). The visual analogue score (VAS) gradually decreased from 6 h to 3 d after operation of the 2 groups, and the VAS scores from 6 h to 3 d after operation of the experiment group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of condition observation, nursing skills and prevention of the experiment group were significantly higher than of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of total complications in the experiment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).
Conclusion High-quality nursing mode can significantly reduce the pain degree of elderly patients with incarcerated inguinal hernia after emergency surgery, relieve negative emotions, reduce the risk of postoperative complications and promote recovery of patients. It is recommended to use in clinic.
