Incarcerated hernia is one of the most common acute abdomen diseases, and it is getting more and more attention from clinicians because of its rapid disease progression, long hospital stay and high mortality rate. Intestinal necrosis the most serious complication of incarceration hernias often causes peritonitis, shock and even death in patients. At present, there is no universally accepted diagnostic criteria for early intestinal necrosis in incarcerated hernia. Therefore, we have reviewed relevant literatures about the early diagnosis of intestinal necrosis in incarcerated hernia in recent years and summarized the conclusions.
