一些边缘区域的腹壁疝因为解剖位置(靠近腹壁边缘或骨性结构)和解剖结构的特殊性,导致该类腹壁疝疝环的关闭,补片的放置及固定方式不同于普通的腹壁疝。这些边缘区域的腹壁疝主要包括:剑突下疝、肋缘下疝、耻骨上疝、腰疝,若治疗不当,其并发症发生率、复发率会明显升高。
