The aim of this study is to explore the effect of position nursing intervention on non-incisional pain and recovery time after pediatric hernia sac high ligation.
From February 2015 to February 2017, 77 children undergone hernia sac high ligation in Beijing Chaoyang hospital were randomized to routine nursing group (n=38) and additional position nursing intervention group (n=39). The non-incisional pain, recovery time and nursing satisfaction rate postoperatively were observed in this study.
The position nursing intervention was associated with shorter anus exhaust time, bowel sound recovery time, diet recovery time and hospital stay postoperatively (P<0.05). And the incidence of postoperative non-incisional pain such as abdominal pain, back pain, diaphragmodynia and intercostal pain was significantly lower in the trial group (P<0.05). It shows a better total nursing satisfaction rate in the trial group compared to control group (94.87% vs 73.68%, P<0.05).
The position nursing intervention can effectively shorten the recovery time of the hernia sac high ligation in children, and can also reduce the incidence of non-incisional pain, which is beneficial to improve the relationship between nurses and patients, and has certain promotional value.
